Devices

A device is defined as an object that can be monitored and controlled. Some devices can only be monitored (ie. motion sensors or vibration sensors). Other devices can receive commands to change state (ie. light switches). There are also other types of devices like web page content, web image changes, domain names, and more.

The status of any device is available across the platform to be used in events and actions. This means the status of one device can cause an action in another device.

Device automation is built into the platform. This allow you to create a system that will make changes to your environment per your requirements.

We are always looking to add new devices to the platform. The current list of devices should cover most of needs of the average person or business. If you have a device you would like us to add, send an email to support@offsitelabs.com. To see the currently support device list, click on the button below.

Simulation

You don't have to have a physical device in order to check it out. This feature is good during the trial period which allows you to install the system and immediately begin using it as if you had the actual device.

The physical devices supported by the platform have the ability to be added or changed to simulation mode. There are other devices that do not have this option. This would include any device that is available on the Internet like domain names, web pages, web images, and others.

To see the list of devices you can add in simulation mode, visit the device list and select the 'Simulation Devices' option.
