Events & Actions

Event Types

There are three event type from which to select:

  1. Device - One or more actions made based on the status of a device. Both the Source Device and action(s) are required.
  2. Schedule - One or more actions to occur based on a schedule (frequency, date, time interval, day of week). At least one action is required (no source device).
  3. On-Demand - Actions to occur when manually selected from the web portal. At least one action is required (no source device).

Source Devices

Each device will have one or more nodes. For example, a battery operated motion sensor would have two nodes. One for the motion status and one for the battery level.

Typically, any device that can be monitored is available as a source device. The source device, node, operator, and command are required to satisfy the selection for the source device.

The operator options are typically:

  1. Greater Than - Status of the device is more than the specified threshold.
  2. Less Than - Status of the device is less than the specified threshold.
  3. Equal To - Status of the device matches the specified threshold.
  4. Not Equal To - Status of the device does not match the specified threshold.
Note: Other operators available as required for specific devices

This feature can be used to make your home or business look occupied when nobody is there. Lights can be turned on & off at random intervals. They can also be configured to come on and go off at specific times during the day.

The minimum & maximum number of minutes are set for both the normal and reset state. A random number of minutes will be selected between these two threshold limits.
